College Soccer News has just released their 2010 Pre-season Top 30 rankings and it looks like the Gauchos got a lot of love. The 'Chos were ranked #6 in the country and were the highest ranked team in the Western United States of America. They look to be poised to compete for the National Championship on their home turf this year.
In other news, UCSB Midfielder Danny Barrera was named a Pre-season CSN All-American. The junior was an All-Far West selection and All-Big West selection last year. He tallied 9 assists and 5 goals during the 2009 campaign. He looks to excite the tortilla throwing crowds at Harder Stadium this upcoming season!
